The policy is governed exclusively by the law and jurisdiction of your country of residence.

Your Traveller Details

Single Person - One single person of any age up to 79 years of age who is named on the policy.

Couple - Any adult couple (including same sex) in a common-law relationship or who have co-habited for at least 6 months.

Family - Any adult couple (including same sex) in a common-law relationship or who have co-habited for at least 6 months and all dependent children up to and including 17 years of age.

Single Parent Family - One adult and all dependent children up to and including 17 years of age.

Single Trip

Cover for one trip or journey starting when you leave home and ending when you return to your home. During your journey you can travel between as many cities and even countries as you wish, provided you have chosen the correct territory.

You can purchase a single trip policy if you have already left your country of residence, provided that your country of residence is in the EU, EEA or Monaco The cover has limitations: There will be no cooling off period; there will be no cover for any pre-existing medical condition from which you have ever suffered; If the period during which you have not had insurance is 7 days or more, there will be no cover under the medical section of the policy for 14 days; the policy must be for the whole remaining period of your trip until you arrive back in your country of residence and the full period of your trip away from your country of residence, including this already travelled policy must not exceed the policy maximums for your age. Full details are in Definition 21 of the full policy wording.

Annual multi-trip

Cover for multiple trips during a 12 month period, subject to residency requirement, provided no individual trip lasts longer than the maximum number of days per individual trip that you choose when buying the policy. During your journey you can travel between as many cities and even countries as you wish, provided you have chosen the correct territory.

Adults named on a policy may travel separately and children under 18 named on a family policy are insured when travelling with one or both named adults or accompanied by another responsible adult who is over 25 years of age.

We regret that we are unable to offer cover if you are travelling to Cuba, Iran or North Korea or any country or area to which the government of Your Country of Residence has advised against all or all but, essential travel.

There is no cover under Section 2 - Medical Expenses and Repatriation, whilst you are travelling within your Country of Residence. Cover under all other sections applies if your trip is away from your home and involves at least two night’s stay in pre-booked accommodation, or travel arrangements that have been pre-booked with a commercial carrier.

The following countries are classed as Europe for travel purposes: Albania, Andorra, Austria, Azores, Balearic Islands, Belgium, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canary Islands, Corsica, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Georgia, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Irish Republic, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Madeira, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Morocco, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey, United Kingdom (including Channel Islands and Isle of Man), Vatican City.
